To: CS Students who have recently completed an internship
CCO has created a new database to report your internship which the data will be useful for students that have questions about where they might find info regarding intern salaries as well as leads for internships that other “Purdue” students in similar majors have secured. The data will also help International students who inquire about employing organizations, who may have offered internships to non residents as well as reporting to inquirying companies.

Yelp, Inc.
Yelp has been changing the nature of how people share local knowledge and find out about what's going on in their city and beyond since 2005. We're one part community, one part local city guide, with an opinion on everything from mechanics and martini bars to dentists and dining. Yelp is currently launched in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, France, and Germany. Named one of Time Magazine's Best 50 Websites and PC World's Best Free iPhone App, Yelp continues to be the #1 local search and review website. www.yelp.com
A series of five workshops covering 3-D computer game building with the Unity game development tool will be held at ITaP’s Envision Center for Data Perceptualization beginning Sept. 21.
The workshops will focus on building games that are fun, artistic and offer game play possibilities beyond such often-used forms as the first-person shooter. Any undergraduate or graduate student at Purdue may attend. To sign up, contact Amanda Hart, hart6@purdue.edu, by Sept. 10. There is no fee and previous knowledge of game development is not required.
Beginning next week, the Opportunity Update message will be using a new address for the mailing list.
The current mailing list address is: cs-info-(1-8)@cs.purdue.edu, where 1-8 is your classification (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) here at Purdue.
The new mailing list address will be: cs_opportunity_(1-8)@lists.purdue.edu, where as again, 1-8 is your classification at Purdue which we receive from the registrar's office.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks, Pat
